Buy Back Program

The buy back program will end  on October 1, 2010.  All pools purchased by bidders at the EGG and GSA public auctions will be up to ten years years old and   Beyond any technology to repair.  These pools were made in  1998 and shipped from Korea to the US 1999 through 2004. They were auctioned off to highest bidder up through 2007.     After the six year period the liner material and frame will be re- purchased  for regrind at 15.00 per pool.  The storage of such pools at unknown higher temperatures and humity has caused the sealing glue to melt and crack under the weight of stacking pool cartons on pallets .When subjected to the lateral pressures of the water such pools have failed and engulfed the filtration system and the electrical hook up in the immediate area of pool in a momentary surge of water and electrified the water.  This electrification of the water resulted in the death of a mother while swimming.  The three children survived.  Para- medics were unable to revive the mother. The resulting lawsuit was against Hayward and all parties and manufactures involved.  The plantiff received an unknown award in cash settlement. These legacy pools were to be returned to factory and not intended to be sold to American Market.

Current offer: Expires 10/1/07  All pools still in the field, at  truck terminal will not be re- purchased. Except for regrind material at 15.00 per  pool.
